Attachments stay honest
If Messages references an attachment that is not stored locally on your Mac, Text Curator reports it as unavailable rather than substituting another file. For historical attachments that may still be available through Messages, Text Curator can help you locate the surrounding conversation so you can download the original in Apple Messages.
Designed for local processing
Text Curator works with Messages data on your Mac after you explicitly choose the Messages folder. It opens the Messages database read-only and never modifies your original Apple Messages database or source attachments. Exports and Text Curator-specific settings are stored separately.
